Back from Asheville

Rafting the French Broad River

Chimney Rock Park

The Italian Garden at the Biltmore Estate

Caroline and I wine tasting at the Biltmore Winery...Her's was grape juice, mine was the fermented variety...

We had a great time on our little trip. Asheville is a very funky, cool, artsy kind of town. A lot of hippie's live here that are very low key and dog friendly which I like. We went to Black Mountain, the Biltmore Estates (which were amazing), Chimney Rock park (at 95 degrees which was unpleasant) and finally white water rafting down the French Broad river that was just cool! Good to be home though...our dogs really missed us and I missed my pillow. Remind me to bring my own from home when I travel next time.

He's Got Stars in HIs Eyes or Not?

OK, here is another Painter painting....Stars or no stars? I think I like the way the dog looks overall with the dark blue goggles, but I also think the stars are kind of fun...Maybe it's the red in the goggles that is bugging me...Opinions???

Meet Bella...

This is Bella... I photographed her and her "Mom" the other day and thought this photo would make a nice painting...I did this digitally using Painter X. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out, I may go back and paint the flowers a bit more so they don't look so photographic. Any comments or suggestions??? Thanks for visiting!

New Journal Pages for Round Robin Swap

Hey there! Here are three new pages that went into three different altered books/journals that are going around through an Altered Art Obbession Round Robin. This is my first RR and I have to say that I am really enjoying it so far. It's a little bit confusing figuring out who you mail to next and where yours are coimng from, but other than that it is a whole lot of fun. I can't wait to get my books back in December and see all of the cool artwork everyone has done.
I also wanted to take a moment and say THANX! to Rebecca over at Art Paw for featuring me over at her cafepress store as her artist of the month...Go here http://breedspecific.com:80/dogartist_review1.html to check it out and see all of her wonderful creations on different cafepress merchandise.

These are two new Painter portraits I just finished...I had a really hard time with the flesh tones on my daughter Caroline's portrait, but I think it turned out pretty cool in the end. I LOVE Clancy's big purple nose! What do you think???
